Neighbourhood Plan Public Consultation CLOSES 12th April

Acquires Statutory Powers as an Emerging Plan

The Sid Valley Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group published the Draft Plan for public consultation on 28th Feb 2018. The plan sets out how the community wish to see the neighbourhood preserved and developed over the next 15 years.
Sidmouth Town Council Chairman Ian McKenzie Edwards, who has been a member of the Steering Group since its inception, commented:
“The NP in its pre-submission form is the culmination of two years’ work by the NPSG. This is the final opportunity for the Sid Valley populace to comment before the plan goes to inspection and referendum. Created from consultation and feedback from the people of the valley this will be your document. Along with the Local Plan it has the power to shape development for the next 15 years and will be regularly reviewed in the light of changing circumstances. The valley’s unique environment can only benefit from the plan.”
The plan and accompanying Place Analysis are available to view at http://www.sidmouth.gov.uk/index.php/neighbourhood-plan and at http://www.sidvalleyneighbourhoodplan.com
Printed copies of the plan are available to view at Sidmouth Town Council, Woolcombe House, Woolcombe Lane, Sidmouth, at EDDC The Knowle and at Sidmouth Public Library.
Comments and responses should be submitted either on a paper form (pick one up at Sidmouth Library) or via email to: neighbourhood@sidmouth.gov.uk
Or by post to: SVNP, Sidmouth Town Council, Woolcombe House Sidmouth EX10 9BB
